Winter bedroom essentials

If we may believe the meteorologists we could be set to experience one of the coldest winters in a 100 years, something disturbing, since our summer was pretty hot. Our human-caused climate change has already been proven to increase the risk of floods and extreme rainfall, heatwaves and wildfires with implications for humans, animals and the environment. Extreme temperatures, droughts and wildfires have also more than doubled in the last 40 years.

I am not going to write about what we should do about it. I really hope everyone has come to a point to be aware of this problem and doing their own very very best to make it a little bit better in your home and environment by making ‘good’ daily choices for your groceries, transport etc etc.

So for now, let’s get ourselfs prepared with some warm and cozy bedroom essentials!

A comfortable bed, warm sheets, a good read and enough tea and hot chocolate milk. Put on an extra sweater, so you don’t have to turn up the central heating. Invest in thick curtains, a warm rug and some comfy slippers. - Vivian

The Modest  bed is designed to be conformable to the diverse scenarios of everyday life, leaving room for one’s own customs and style.

In collaboration with designer Justin Jorissen, Loof has taken a dressed-down approach to the traditional bed by returning to its fundamental elements. Deciding what is essential in a bed and leaving unnecessary frivolities out, they came up with a bed whose name says it all: Modest.
