Objects for in- and outdoor green fingered gardeners - by Menu

Oh how I loved the exciting MENU news in my mailbox yesterday! MENU has launched objects for indoor and outdoor gardens. Plants and green spaces enhance not only our homes, but also our lives. To that end, MENU has created a collection of beautiful and useful objects for green-fingered gardeners. Now that it’s almost Spring and we have been able to enjoy some sunny days in the Netherlands, their mail about this new collection really made me curious. - Elvera

An exclusive collaboration with the renowned Spanish toolmakers, Pallarès, has resulted in a collection of five essential hand tools for gardening. Fusing the longstanding crafting expertise with modern design, the practical and beautiful utensils make light work of weeding, planting, raking and pruning. Hand forged from carbon steel for exceptional strength and sharpness, a trowel, fork, hoe, shears and pruners bear the hallmarks of fine metalwork. Lightweight and ergonomic, the rust repellent tools feature beechwood handles for grip and vegetable-tanned leather straps for safety.

Practical as well as beautiful, the Hydrous Collection contains must-have tools for indoor plant care. Carefully crafted in elegant materials, a watering can, watering sticks, a plant mister and planters help houseplants thrive whether you are home or away.  The Hydrous Watering Can in brushed stainless steel is designed with a long pouring spout to reach the smallest of plants and through the thickest of foliage with its smooth and steady water flow. Anacacia wood handle ensures a firm grip while adding warmth to the sleek metal design.

Fire has been entrenched in human behaviour since our ancestors tamed flames some one million years ago. The Meira Oil Lantern is inspired by civilisation's earliest torches, which used fire to illuminate and warm.

Designed by Kroyer Saetter-Lassen and offered in four different shapes of varying heights, the powder-coated steel design emits a real flame from its refillable oil chamber centre. Adding to the ambience of any outdoor space, the clean burn design is an illuminating and decorative feature.

Centred around the belief that everyday objects should add to the ambience of a space, the Daiza Planter elevates both plants and rooms. Set on powder-coated metal stand, the voluminous pot channels the familiar feel of ancient vessels. Shaped from earthenware, it is finished with a glossy, reactive glaze for understated colour and texture.

Subtle differences in form, surface finish and firing temperature during the handcrafting process make each container entirely unique. The Daiza Planter can be used inside and outside.
