A minimalist dream by the sea

I don't know about you but I can really get so inspired by a beautiful holiday home. We have been lucky to stay in beautiful Danish holiday homes a few times and when I saw this beautiful minimalist house which is for sale via Mäklarhuset in Norrtälje, I was attracted immediately.

When architect Emelie Holmberg wanted to build a house for herself it became this minimalist, Japanese-inspired summer dream of a total of 42 sqm located high on a forest plot by the Åland Sea. The house is the first prototype built by Emelie’s company Swedish house manufacturer Gimme shelter.

The house, which consists of two buildings under one roof, offers a hall, bathroom, kitchen and living room in one building and a lovely bedroom with large glass sections. and I really the exclusive and tasteful material choices. The kitchen and living room have beautiful light, solid wood floors, light birch veneer panels on the walls, large openable glass sections and a wood burning stove. Around the whole house runs a stunning covered terrace under a roof with a large lounge area between the buildings on a forest plot of 2,113 sqm by the Åland Sea. An amazing and real minimalist dream home if you ask me. You will find more about it here - Elvera
