Kizu Portable Table Lamp

If you've been following me for a while, you know that I'm a huge admirer of the New Works collection. It all started when I got one of the first aura table mirrors as a gift from my husband after a visit to Copenhagen and I have been following them ever since. Last summer finally I have been able to admire the showroom again during 3 days of design and when I saw the press release about the latest addition to the New Works family I was enthusiastic immediately.

This week New Works has launched the new Kizu Portable. It's the same beloved material and expression as we know the Kizu lamps but in a smaller, cordless format. With marble as the bearing element, the lamp obtains natural stability and the polished stone feels comfortable to the touch. A turned countersunk metal circle on the top of the lamp adds a refined detail to the design, and by tapping gently on the circle, the light can be dimmed to three different levels.

Kizu lamp has been designed by Norwegian designer Lars Tornøe. Lars works across the areas of furniture and product design with a sculpted simplicity and I just love it. Cant wait to admire this smaller and in my opinion - very practical addition of the Kizu collection. - Elvera
