Aspen residency by Toteme

”Elements of birch trees have been incorporated into the interiors in different forms, including a table shaped into the structure of a twig, created by a Colorado woodworking artisan. Vintage pieces of furniture have been hand-picked for the space by TOTEME. Elsewhere in the space, TOTEME has commissioned Swedish textile artists and members of the contemporary weaving scene to create modern pieces of weaving used in the store as floor and wall decor.” - Toteme

Almost since the beginning I’m a huge admirer of Swedish fashion brand Toteme. Toteme is a style universe with a singular aesthetic. The label explores the appeal of a modern uniform through distinct design cues, meticulous craftsmanship, and methodic repetition. Inspired by women’s lives and needs, the ambition is to define a dress code and wardrobe that backs their purpose.

Recently Toteme has shared the news that they celebrate the winter season with residency in Aspen, Colorado. Toteme has commissioned Swedish textile artists and members of the contemporary weaving scene to create modern pieces of weaving as floor and wall decor and it looks so stunning! The project tributes to the scenic local surroundings and Swedish nature. Inside, the atmosphere evokes the intimate environment of an art collector’s home, showcasing the latest collections interspersed with works of art and design.
