Open-Air collection by Vipp

Vipp, I first got introduced by it more than 15 years ago at my first interior job at Mobilia in Amsterdam. It was always such fun to discover their seasonal color and show them in the shopping window! Not knowing that I would experience so much with Vipp. Visits in Copenhagen, to the Vipp house in Sweden, wonderful collaborations. And after all these years, exactly when we are expanded our business with the garden designs, they introduce their outdoor collection. That makes me very happy. Because beautiful, timeless furniture in your garden is so important and can really complete your garden. - Vivian

Imagine if Vipp iterated its coveted furniture pieces for the great outdoors, merged its material mastery and ingenious engineering with flora, fauna, and open skies.

First of its kind, the Vipp Open-Air collection owe its name to the functional intent of outdoor use, while equally referencing the airiness and fluidity that underpin the design ethos – light expressions of softly shaped durable materials.

The Vipp Open-Air collection includes a chair, a dining table, a lounge chair, lounge tables, and sofas that draw inspiration from Vipp’s existing indoor furniture collection characterised by durable craftsmanship, time-less design with attention to detail - and a history defined by moulded metal.

Vipp classics versioned for the outdoors
In symbiosis with the natural environment, Vipp’s new outdoor collection enters the brand’s furniture assortment with the shared intent of refining how we live with objects through long-lasting design experiences.

“We have injected a dose of fresh air into Vipp’s more than 80 years old design philosophy and have created a sophisticated and refined outdoor furniture collection that enhance the outdoor experience,” says Kasper Egelund, CEO and 3rd generation Vipp owner.

Vipp Open-Air is characterised by a strong lightweight powder coated aluminium in grey as well as novel materials such as rattan, teak, and outdoor-friendly textiles. Rounded teak profiles inserted on the armrest surface add tactile details that will age naturally to a soft, grey hue with silvery notes. The seats are filled with quick dry foam and covered with Italian Ten Stars yarn textile that is water and UV resistant.

The Vipp Open-Air collection is available from February 2023 except sofas that are available from March 2023.
