Bonnibonne X Dry Studios - Art of Nature
“Art of nature” is a mutual installation by Bonnibonne and Dry Studios to be introduced during StockholmDesign week. Several new products will be launched with nature being the key element connecting the collaboration together. The spatial installation is presented with poetic and simple aesthetics where they aim to mediate a sense of fine quality where Scandinavian craft meets genuine materials. - Bonnibonne
Last week was an inspiring week for everyone who loves (Scandinavian) design because the Stockholm Design Week took place. This year's edition was a little different. Due to COVID-19 the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair was cancelled and instead the fair was added as a part of Stockholm Design Week in a digital and city edition. The city edition offered exhibitions and open showrooms as a part of Stockholm Design Week and the digital edition presented a wide range of activities online .
When I saw the first images on social media, I was attracted immediately by the amazing installation created by Bonnibonne and Dry studios. Bonnibonne's design philosophy is based on nature, gastronomy and the presence of aesthetics in everyday life. I really admire their wooden objects, ceramics and other unique items designed according to everyday needs, interesting materials or from meetings with other people. The bookcase ”Kontur” based on the creator Shalony van Stralendorff's passion for textures, form, wildly picked food and the presence of aesthetics in everyday life is on my wishlist for quit a while now.
Design studio Bonnibonne was founded in 2017 by chief operating officer Emelie Ivarsson and creative director Shalony van Stralendorff and last week, during the design week, they presented their stunning first locally produced furniture collection. The collection, called “The Outline Series” is an exciting collaboration with architect Fumihito Ohashi consisting stylish furniture with subtle details inspired by Japanese architecture - The Outline 01, 02, 05 and 06.
At the same time Dry Studios launched their beautiful handcrafted wooden screens and incense holders. A perfect combination if you ask me! With nature being the key element connecting the collaboration together, this installation only could be a success! - Elvera
