Designed to be an expression of Nordic minimalism

Although the destination for our Summer vacation has been selected some time ago, I love to discover other beautiful destinations, especially if they are as appealing as this amazing cabin. It has been on our wish list to stay in a cabin or tiny house in the middle of nature for a while, but with 2 older boys who are very attached to their modern facilities as Wi-Fi and Nedflix, we have planned it for another moment in the near future and we keep dreaming about peaceful places in the Canopy like this.

“A sweeping wooden bridge leads up from the forest floor into the cabin's living space. The cabin - the first of potentially nine comfortable cabins – is designed by architect Sigurd Larsen. The expression is Nordic minimalism, utilizing every cubic centimeter to its utmost. Inside, the cabin (situated on a small hillside known as The Dwarf's Mound) is both modern, comfortable and ‘hyggelig’. “

The cabin, with space for up to four people, is built around a large, old pine tree that goes straight through the cabin’s floor and roof with its terrace where you can relax in the wooden top, grill a salmon from Denmark's longest fjord, the Mariagerclose or just enjoy the amazing view of the forest. Have you ever spent your vacation in such a beautiful cabin or in a tiny house? I'd love to hear your experience! - Elvera -
