Norm x Reform | kitchen update

In 2016 Reform sat down with Norm Architects to hear about their designs for Reform, their design philosophy and their use of materials.
For Norm Architects’ design work for Reform all the small, tiny elements and the combination of different materials were very important. Norm’s collaboration with Reform started, as does many of their other projects, with a fascination for material.
Our kitchen design is simple, but exclusive in its timeless design. With no handles, it presents a countertop that covers the entire surface and adds to it an exquisite finish – like the best-designed furniture. The kitchen reflects this thought by using materials from nature to carry the design. In Scandinavia, we have a tradition of inviting nature inside, kind of blurring the boundaries between what is inside and outside,” - Norm Architects - .

Norm Architects has designed an updated version of their Surface kitchen design for Reform CPH and it looks amazing!  It’s in sawn cut natural oak and they have recently installed it in their studio in Copenhagen including the previously designed wardrobe and a beautiful new bench.
