Nicolette Johnson ceramics

Our love for ceramics is something that will always stay. They are the perfect pieces to add something extra and interesting to a room.  It is great to discover new ceramic artists but also to wander through thrift stores finding old and unique pieces.

I especially like pieces with an interesting shape or glazing that make it unique and inspiring. The work of Nicolette Johnson is a great example of how ceramics can work as functional and sculptural artworks.  The pieces can be used as art objects or function as a vessel for your favorite flowers. The shape, texture, finish and color create an interesting and unique feel. Nicolette Johnson is a ceramic artist based in Brisbane, Australia. Working primarily in stoneware using wheel throwing and hand-building techniques, Nicolette applies clean, modern lines and colours to re-imagined ancient forms. She hand-makes and fires each one of her pieces in small batches in her home studio.
