girona house

Look at this wonderful living room in a home located in Barcelona, renovated by local studio Arquitecture-G. They completed a renovation of a house of 120m2 in the street Girona.

A zigzag forms the junction between warm-coloured carpet and grey tiling in this Barcelona home, and it also features beautiful vaulted ceilings. This type of vaulted ceiling - known locally as a Catalan arch - is a common feature in old Barcelona properties. A doorway with a zigzagging profile leads you through the rest of the apartment. The jagged profile matches the staggered junction between the carped and grey tiles. In the entrance hall, a raised carpeted platform tuns along on side of a fireplace, which the architects moved to make it more central feature of the apartment.
