a passion for blue

Our latest trip to Copenhagen was all about blue. A special kind of blue. A Royal Copenhagen blue.

Royal Copenhagen is a company that has a special feeling with blue since 1775. A company that exists for such a long time and which is still going strong with their first design, that's what we call pure passion.

During our trip what got to visit the Royal Copenhagen workspace, where all their porcelain is hand painted. When I think of hand painted, well I don't know what I thought, but when we got to try it ourselves, the hand painting part, we knew. This is art. It's amazing to see those passionate artist paint those cups, plates and mugs. While ours is turned out... not that pretty.

Besides their hand painted series, which are very pretty and delicate, we love to combine it with their blue fluted serie.

While we already got a thing for blue, we now have a new thing for blue, called Royal Copenhagen.
